Swim Lessons
The lesson is for one hour.
We recommend two days per week.
Every student learns at their own pace. The swim instructor will access the learning pace and stay in contact with parent to discuss progress.
We will provide a swim cap and googles. Child needs to be in a swimsuit, rash guard (if desired) and have sunscreen on.
The pool temperature should be between 79-81 degrees. The child should be comfortable with the water temperature.
We suggest you book the lessons as soon as possible. Our time books up quickly.
Yes, each child can have a 30-minute lesson.
Cancellation/RefundSPSSS reserves the right to cancel a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances. Classes will be rescheduled or refunded, if needed.
If you cancel for any reason, it must be in writing by text or email. At least 24 hours is required for a refund or to reschedule or a 25% cancellation fee will be charged.
Surf FAQ
One hour.
Surf lessons are in Santa Monica Beach at Lifeguard Tower 22.
Parking is available in the Santa Monica Beach Lot 4S, which is located at 2030 Ocean Way (Bicknell and Ocean). You will need to pay for parking. Meter parking is also available on Ocean.
Instructor will be in parking lot to the left of the entrance.
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the lesson. This will allow you time to pay for parking, do the required warm-up exercises, and put on your wetsuit and rash guard.
Please be prompt as your lesson will start at your assigned time. If you should be late; your class time will be shortened
Surfboard, wetsuit, and rash guard. If you have your own wetsuit, you can use it.

Lifeguard
We recommend booking as early as possible as our schedule fills up quickly.
Yes, with advance notice. Please request the equipment when completing the request for a Lifeguard Pool Party form.
Lifeguards are in lifeguard attire. They bring a first aid kit, rescue tube, and lifeguard chair.
We are a private swim and surf school. We have been providing swimming, surfing, water aerobics, scuba diving lessons, and lifeguard services for over 15 years.
